Delighted to have our PLAY+ rechargeable light box win in the Teach Early Years awards Creative Play category this month! The floor standing unit is rechargeable to use cable free in a classroom, with a tough reinforced safety glass worktop, with light intensity and RGB colour selection feature all operated by children using one rocking switch.
Celebrating 70 years of the National Parks, The Sill has a new interactive exhibition exploring the history of how these beautiful spaces were opened up for everyone to use and enjoy, and what the future holds. This is a hugely engaging and interactive exhibition – small and perfectly formed – appealing to all ages and we’re delighted to say features our Ecosoft modular play forms, new rechargeable light table and (a first in the UK) our Mi:tree interactive projection system.
The new early years unit at Central Primary School in Ashington now installed and ready for September grand opening! The furniture project to organise the space was a collaboration between the school Early Years team with early years consultant, Diane Jeffries, and Feelgood Designs. The furniture was customised for the space (all colours chosen by the school), to create a flexible and open plan room in response to EYFS guidelines.
We’ve worked with Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity and Paragon Creative, to make a waiting/play area for the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow! Mary Pirie, Lead Radiologist, says “the soft play area is a fantastic centre piece in our children’s waiting area. The patients and their siblings love it and it provides a wonderful distraction whilst patients are waiting for their appointments…”
“One area where it is invaluable, is for the patients who are attending for bedtime MRI scans between 7-8pm. Parents keep the children awake all day so that they will sleep soundly for their scans. The children usually arrive very sleepy, however when they see the soft play area they get a ‘second wind’ and they tire themselves out completely and sleep soundly for their scans. This play area really contributes to the success of these scans and avoids the child having a General Anaesthetic for their imaging.”
